Made in a basement.
The Stories We Tell is an indie horror franchise built by Char, with collaborator Stacey and (sometimes) a daughter with very strong opinions about lore. The games are made the way the games we love were made — at night, alone, with the volume too high. The film is shot in the gaps between the games. The treehouse is real. The kids are not.
The first game is The Bone Game. The first film is in production. The next thing is whatever feels right next.
